Mudfest is brought to you by a team of incredibly hard working students who squeeze it in around their class schedule and day jobs.

Artistic Directors – Harriet Wallace-Mead and Sara Laurena

Harriet has no idea how she got here but is having a pretty good time. She first witnessed the madness of Mudfest in 2015, and slowly became ensnared by the UMSU Creative Arts Department, sitting on committee in 2016, and securing the office bearer position in 2017. Harriet has a passion for politically active work that takes established forms and explodes them.

Sara still wakes up wondering if the Mudfest dream is real. Stumbling into the arms of Mudfest 2015, she embraced the risks associated with students making art and breaking charts of the unknown together. She rode the UMSU train from Creative Arts committee in 2016 to office bearer of 2017. She enjoys weaving words of the worlds’ waking moments, and smashing the patriarchy.
