Tori Adams is presented in the exhibition The Lurid World, George Paton Gallery. Tori has been captivated by costumes since she can remember. It was an essential part of her life as she watched theatre and dance shows on repeat and hand sewed her own designs for her dolls, sister and self. Ever since she inherited her mother’s sewing machine this passion has been amplified, with her experimenting with different fabrics- prompting her to want to work with less conventional mediums. As she has also been making homemade recycled paper since she was in primary school, it seemed like a pretty good option to use that as a medium.
