Slumplifter is the recording and performing project of multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and composer Hunter Reyne. With a range of releases over the past year spanning genres from the lo-fi bedroom pop of Ghosts Before Breakfast and Alpaca Your Bags to the driving, synth-based New Wave and disco of Who’s Afraid Of The Bug In The Bade, culminating in the recent hypnagogic pop release, Aki No Kure, Slumplifter couples an absurdist sense of humour with a willingness to break down genre boundaries through sheer obstinance and the gift of not knowing any better.
Slumplifter recently finished a tour of regional Victoria, capping off a live schedule that includes performances at the Peninsula Short Film Fest and every back-alley Melbourne divebar your parents used to go to back in the day.
