Lara Navaro is presented in the exhibition The Lurid World, George Paton Gallery. Lara is a starving artist type with a penchant for the dark and twisty. She is pursuing a double major in Creative Writing and Media and Communications, hoping to one day be able to afford a rood with a writer’s salary. She is an alum of CSSA and John Hopkins’ Centre for Talented Youth, recipient of the Enid Miller memorial prize, a California Arts Scholar, and has been published in Literary Orphans and Moonsick Magazine with forthcoming publications in Above Water and DIAGRAM. In the words of Bukowski, who was kind of a dick, “Understand me. I’m not like an ordinary world. I have my madness, I live in another dimension and I do not have time for things that have no soul.”
