Visual Arts Walking Tour
August 24, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Join us and the amazing artists who have made it all happen on this walking and talking tour around the University of Melbourne to discover everything ART that Mudfest has to offer!
Starting at the Outdoor Gallery, we will chat all things Above Water and view the anthology illustrations. Followed by a discussion of the dual site-specific works by Anastazja Harding, And can all the flowers talk? on the West Board and in the Vitrine Space. We will then tour upstairs to level two of Union House to view Peter Salvatore Matthews hub for I Get It, a poster installation hidden throughout the campus, and Hq Chan’s impressive tree installation United Branches. Once here, we will make our way to the George Paton Gallery to tour The Lurid World exhibition , an incubator for new thoughts and ideas that suggests by acknowledging contemporary fears, we can hatch a more hopeful future. Lastly, we will head back to the Mudfest hub to check out the site-specific installations there where you can then kick your feet up and relax in our chill out areas.
